I was delighted to be asked to re-join the Elgin Artists after a short period away. I have been painting and printmaking for the last few years after studying Visual Arts at Melbourne Polytechnic and RMIT. The two streams I work in fulfil a lifelong ambition, after retiring from work as a Project Manager in the retail industry.
I have been producing works in a representational style, and subject matter of still life, animals and birds and I will be investigating and experimenting with landscapes in ‘plein air’. In addition, I have discovered Japanese Wood Block printing, quite a technical aspect of printmaking, and one in which I will be pursuing in the coming months.
